Kierra Sheard Performs “Something Has to Break” with Mom, Karen Clark Sheard at BET Awards

The BET Awards 2020 virtual event held at L.A. Live, Los Angeles, California, United States matched up to its billing with different music stars on the ground to express their in-born gifts.

The annual American Award Show designed to celebrate African Americans and other American minorities across music, acting, sports, and other fields of entertainment experienced a different feel this year due to the social distancing rules put in place to curb the spread of COVID-19.

One of the highlights of this year’s ceremony was when  Kierra Sheard took the stage with her mother, Karen Clark Sheard (of The Clark Sisters) to perform “Something Has To Break” from her new album, KIERRA. The eye-catching performance captivated the hearts of many as the mother-daughter duo express their vocal prowess in the life-changing declarative song.

Supported with a creative video shot during this season of social distancing, the new record from the recently-released ‘KIERRA‘ album features Tasha Cobbs Leonard in the original song.
